Katie and Dave: Engagement portraits in Littleton

Katie and Dave
Centennial, Colorado
September 16, 2008

Earlier this week I got together with Katie and Dave for their engagement session in Littleton and Centennial. Katie is a photographer, too, so it was really fun to photograph someone as enthusiastic about portraits as I am! She and Dave are an adorable couple, and I can't wait until their wedding next June. If it's anything like our portrait shoot this week, the wedding should be a lot of fun.

We started by wandering around downtown Littleton.

Katie brought one of her favorite cameras to take some pictures of Dave.

Later we headed to a nearby lake.

I read somewhere that geese mate for life.

I love early autumn!

After the sun set, we headed back to their house for some photos with Dave's motorcycle. Sexay!

Beautiful! I'll say it again: I'm totally flying you up to Canada if I ever get married. :)

I love the umbrella shots, but I'm curious who thought to bring it along on a very sunny day??

Beautiful pictures, as always!

Katie and Dave wanted a "rain or shine" theme to the photos, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I think she might be the first bride I know who has hoped for rain but got sun instead. ;-)

I love what you do with that fish-eye lens.

As for the motorcycle pictures, it seems to cue "He's a Rebel" by The Crystals for some reason.

I don't know if those photos were posted in the order you took them but the look like they really warmed up as the day went and the end photos are intimate and actually really heated at the end. Neat!! Great work!!!

They were posted in chronological order, so it's cool that you noticed a progression like that!

Beautiful photos, as always. I especially like the shots on the bike, and the last one is my favorite. Capturing them in the mirror...fabulous!

i really like the one in the park, w/her leg kicked up... v. meaningful shot... i could 'feel' the 'feeling' of their hug... /not sure if i'm explaining myself clearly/... great job! :)
